Cooperative Education Program - SBMT2800

Background

HKUST Career Center has officially launched a university-wide Co-op Program for undergraduate students across all disciplines. Upon completion of the Co-op placement, students are required to enroll in the 3-credit Co-op course (SBMT2800) as free elective in the subsequent Fall or Spring term upon return to their studies on campus. This program aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to integrate academic learning with hands-on work experience in a professional setting.

Requirements

By taking any two standalone career development programs, students are required to apply the skills and knowledge learnt in a full-time co-op work experience for a single employer for at least 4 months with submission of 2 progress reports. Department approval is required, and students will gain 3 credits upon successful completion.

Commitments to the program

  • Completing internships as agreed once accepting the offer.
  • Not withdrawing from internships or seeking early termination without prior written approval from relevant parties in HKUST (e.g., HKUST Career Center, SBM department / SDC team, ).
  • Maintaining professional conduct and punctuality during internships.
  • Meeting all the requirements of Co-op Education Programs if you have applied
